One year later on Monday June 29, 1987 the K-W Record contained these two memorials on page B15:

COFFEN, Hazel -- In loving memory of a mother, who passed away, June 29, 1986.
Kitchener, age 75 years.
We watched you suffer, we watched you be so brave, but all we could do was stand by.
When the time came, we suffered to, for you never deserved what you went through.
God took your hands, we had to part, He eased your pain, but broke our hearts.
If you could have spoken before you died, these are the words you would have replied,
"This life for me has truly passed, I have loved you all to the very last.
Weep not for me, but courage take, and love one another, for my sake.
Don't cry for me, I'm only sleeping, we'll meet again someday."

Lovingly remembered by sons, Gerald and Ron and wives Joyce and Laura.
COFFEN -- In loving memory of a dear wife, mother and grandmother, Hazel Coffen, who passed away one year ago today, June 29, 1986.
When ties of love are broken, and loved ones have to part,
It leaves a wound that never heals, a sad and broken heart.
But looking back on memories, upon the paths we trod,
We're thankful for the time we had and leave the rest to God.

Ever remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Max; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
